Key Responsibilities
- Analyze telemetry and trace data with support from experienced engineers.
- Understand software and hardware behavior on individual devices and at scale.
- Investigate system issues using debugging and performance-analysis tools.
- Identify opportunities for performance and system optimization.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of improvements.
- Develop, test, and maintain software across operating-system and application layers.
- Deliver reliable solutions using sound software-engineering practices.
- Incorporate feedback from code and design reviews.

Skills & Eligibility
- Software Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Proven coding experience in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Successful completion of the Microsoft Cloud Background Check is required for the position upon hire/transfer and periodically thereafter.
- Software development, debugging, or systems-analysis experience through coursework, internships, projects, or professional work.
- Familiarity with debugging techniques.
- Interest in system performance and optimization.
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including testing, code quality, and maintainability.
- Strong programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Ability to use data to support engineering decisions.
- Exposure to operating systems or system-level development.
- Familiarity with Windows internals, performance analysis, or power optimization.

- Experience collaborating on team projects and communicating technical ideas clearly.
