Job Description

As an SDET Intern at Automation Anywhere, you will work closely with senior developers and QA/SDET engineers to ensure the absolute quality of our applications through rigorous automation testing practices. This role sits at the intersection of quality assurance and software development, requiring you to actively build and maintain automated test scripts for web applications, chatbot AI interfaces, and REST endpoints using cutting-edge AI tools.
You will contribute directly to our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) efforts, analyze complex test results, and trace issues back to their root cause by analyzing database logs. This internship is designed to rapidly upskill you in Agile/Scrum methodologies while you adopt AI tools to dramatically increase the velocity of automation test cases.

Automation Design: Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts for web applications, chatbot AI platforms, and REST endpoints.
Defect Resolution: Work directly with developers to identify, log, and resolve complex software defects.
CI/CD Integration: Contribute actively to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing frameworks.
Root Cause Analysis: Analyze detailed test results, query databases, and analyze system logs to accurately root cause issues.
AI Integration: Adopt and leverage modern AI tools to increase the overall velocity and coverage of automation test cases.
Agile Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional development and QA teams within dynamic Agile/Scrum environments.

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related AI/ML field.
Programming Proficiency: Familiarity and coding ability in at least one major programming language such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
Web Basics: Solid foundational knowledge of front-end development technologies including CSS, HTML, and Node.js.
Database & AI: Fair knowledge of database querying (SQL) and a clear understanding of modern Gen AI concepts.
Testing Fundamentals: Clear understanding of software testing principles including unit, integration, functional, and regression testing.
Nice-to-Have Skills: Exposure to version control (Git), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), test frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, JUnit), and REST APIs (Postman).
