Job Description

As an SDE 1 Intern at Zexovo, you will be deeply involved in the backend development lifecycle. You will build and test REST API endpoints using Java and Spring Boot , ensuring that our services are scalable and efficient. You will write complex SQL queries, manage relational database joins, and optimize indexes. Your role is critical to maintaining quality; you will write unit and integration tests while documenting APIs using Swagger and OpenAPI to ensure seamless integration for the entire team.
Beyond coding, you will dive into the world of AWS Fundamentals , working alongside senior engineers to manage real cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for investigating issues, fixing bugs, and contributing to internal automation scripts. This is a “founding team” experience where your problem-solving skills and ability to reason about Big O notation will be put to the test every day. Develop and test RESTful API endpoints using Java and Spring Boot .
Write and optimize SQL queries, including complex JOINs and indexing.
Ensure code reliability by writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.
Document backend services using Swagger/OpenAPI standards.
Perform root cause analysis for bugs and participate in peer code reviews.
Support cloud infrastructure tasks on AWS under senior guidance.
Contribute to internal automation tools and DevOps scripts.
Collaborate with the founding team to refine product features and system design.

Java: Strong grasp of OOPs, Collections, and Exception Handling.
DSA: Proficient in Arrays, Linked Lists, Trees, HashMaps, and Big O notation.
Databases: Ability to write SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY) without external aids.
Web Services: Understanding of HTTP methods (GET, POST, etc.) and Status Codes.
Git: Practical experience with branch management, merging, and pull requests.
System Design: Basic awareness of how Servers, APIs, and Databases connect.
Availability: Immediate joiners (within 1 week of offer) are preferred.
Nice to Have: A GitHub profile with personal projects and LeetCode/HackerRank activity.
