Job Description

  • As a Software Developer Intern at Talview, you will be embedded within a high-performing engineering squad, working on challenging and rewarding projects across different software development domains. You will get intense, hands-on experience with modern programming languages, backend frameworks, and cloud technologies. This role is designed to transition your foundational academic knowledge into practical, clean, and highly efficient production-ready code blocks.
  • Your day-to-day work involves writing well-documented scripts, creating test cases, and debugging existing features to guarantee peak software functionality and quality standards. You will actively contribute to peer code reviews, participate in technical discussions concerning microservices design, and discover how to navigate the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) under modern Agile/Scrum structures. Collaborating with seasoned product developers, you will help optimize Talview’s core remote proctoring engine layers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and sustain responsive application components across various tech domains.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code following corporate software standards.
  • Isolate software bugs, execute comprehensive testing scripts, and troubleshoot application errors.
  • Participate actively in team code reviews to receive and implement constructive design feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with experienced engineering mentors to understand application flow mechanics.
  • Engage in technical design discussions, backlog grooming, and Agile sprint ceremonies.
  • Learn to optimize application latency and support secure database query executions.

Skills & Eligibility

  • Education: Pursuing or recently completed B.E. / B.Tech / BCA / MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely aligned streams.
  • Experience: Freshers with strong algorithmic logic are encouraged to apply. Open-source or personal project portfolios are highly valued.
  • Programming Basics: Sound foundational command over at least one modern language (such as Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or Java).
  • Core CS Concepts: Good understanding of core Data Structures, Algorithms (DSA), and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) design.
  • Tools Awareness: Preliminary familiarity with version control architectures using Git is a solid plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, crisp attention to detail, a proactive desire to learn, and clear interpersonal communication habits.
