Job Description
As an Associate Software Developer Intern on the Crew Manager team, you will be heavily focused on developing and maintaining the critical CrewManager Application, which oversees Cockpit and Cabin Crew logistics. You will be actively involved in writing core backend features, improving system stability, and managing regular software maintenance tasks under the guidance of senior technical staff.
You will utilize advanced skills and Object-Oriented paradigms to oversee small to complex projects, rewriting legacy components, resolving customer software complaints, and deploying optimization programs. This role offers the unique chance to design and build prototype applications while mastering enterprise-grade testing and cloud fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities
Feature Development: Support the development of new features and functionalities, including rewriting small, critical parts of the CrewManager system.
System Optimization: Design and code complex applications, creating specialized optimization programs to resolve deep technical problems.
Issue Resolution: Work closely with technical staff to understand software anomalies, resolve customer complaints, and respond to feature enhancement suggestions.
Prototyping: Design, build, and deploy prototype applications to test new architectural theories.
Independent Delivery: Take ownership of assigned technical tasks, delivering high-quality code independently within Agile methodologies.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (COOP-Student).
Mandatory Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, specifically requiring knowledge of Java 8+, along with proficiency in the Spring Framework.
Testing & DevOps (Good to Have): Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) using JUnit4+ and Mockito, alongside Version Control Systems like GIT.
Web Services & DB: Good knowledge of SOAP-based and RESTful web services, as well as ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
Architecture & Cloud: Strong fundamentals in Object-Oriented Paradigms (OOP) and basic cloud fundamentals (GCP / AWS preferred).
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies.
