Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the deployment of PTC Windchill applications.
- Work with build packages, CCDs, CPS packages, Maintenance Releases, temporary patches, and rehosting activities.
- Validate application deployments after installation or changes.
- Identify and resolve basic deployment issues.
- Configure Windchill and supporting components according to PTC Cloud standards.
- Perform routine system administration activities.
- Carry out log cleanup and cache management.
- Support index rebuilding and application health checks.
- Validate application and supporting services.
- Assist with Windchill version upgrades.
- Support CPS and Maintenance Release updates.
- Perform post-upgrade validation.
- Investigate application, publishing, and deployment issues.
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior engineers when necessary.
- Support customer change requests and scheduled maintenance activities.
- Support production operations and service delivery.
- Maintain technical documentation and deployment records.
- Create and maintain knowledge articles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Help maintain reliable cloud-based Windchill services.
Skills & Eligibility
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Freshers can apply according to the supplied job details.
- PLM: Basic knowledge of PTC Windchill PLM.
- Cloud: Basic understanding of cloud concepts; AWS/Azure knowledge is an advantage.
- Linux: Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
- Windows Server: Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments.
- Application Servers: Familiarity with Apache and Tomcat.
- Database: Basic knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL.
- Scripting: Basic Shell or PowerShell scripting knowledge.
- Deployment: Understanding of application deployment and troubleshooting.
- System Administration: Basic understanding of server and application administration.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
