Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive software testing strategies.
- Create detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
- Write and execute test protocols to validate software functionality.
- Perform functional and software quality testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test cases.
- Use automation tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, and JUnit.
- Identify, document, and track software defects.
- Use defect tracking and test management systems such as JIRA, TestRail, and ALM.
- Perform API testing to validate application interfaces.
- Contribute to performance testing activities.
- Work with developers and other engineering teams to investigate and resolve defects.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities.
- Support testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
- Use Git as part of collaborative software development and testing workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Communicate test results, defects, risks, and technical findings clearly.
- Learn new technologies and adapt testing approaches as product requirements evolve.
Skills & Eligibility
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Fields: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, or related fields.
- Testing: Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality control processes.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Automation: Experience with Selenium, TestComplete, or JUnit.
- Test Documentation: Ability to create and execute test plans, test cases, and test protocols.
- Defect Management: Experience with JIRA, TestRail, ALM, or similar systems.
- Agile: Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Version Control: Knowledge of Git and version control systems.
- API Testing: Understanding of API testing concepts and practices.
- Performance Testing: Knowledge of performance testing is preferred.
- Certification: ISTQB or an equivalent software testing certification is preferred.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
