Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive software testing strategies.
  • Create detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
  • Write and execute test protocols to validate software functionality.
  • Perform functional and software quality testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated test cases.
  • Use automation tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, and JUnit.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects.
  • Use defect tracking and test management systems such as JIRA, TestRail, and ALM.
  • Perform API testing to validate application interfaces.
  • Contribute to performance testing activities.
  • Work with developers and other engineering teams to investigate and resolve defects.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities.
  • Support testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
  • Use Git as part of collaborative software development and testing workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Communicate test results, defects, risks, and technical findings clearly.
  • Learn new technologies and adapt testing approaches as product requirements evolve.

Skills & Eligibility

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred Fields: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, or related fields.
  • Testing: Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality control processes.
  • Programming: Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Automation: Experience with Selenium, TestComplete, or JUnit.
  • Test Documentation: Ability to create and execute test plans, test cases, and test protocols.
  • Defect Management: Experience with JIRA, TestRail, ALM, or similar systems.
  • Agile: Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Version Control: Knowledge of Git and version control systems.
  • API Testing: Understanding of API testing concepts and practices.
  • Performance Testing: Knowledge of performance testing is preferred.
  • Certification: ISTQB or an equivalent software testing certification is preferred.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
