Skills & Eligibility
- Site Reliability Engineer:
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field such as Physics or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Foundational programming knowledge in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Go.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation, or willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, and Git.
- Interest in observability concepts including logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Exposure to tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Basic knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Understanding of SQL, indexing, and simple query optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Personal projects, internships, or coursework involving cloud infrastructure.
- DevOps or SRE projects.
- Automation and infrastructure projects.
- Open-source contributions.
- Hackathons, coding competitions, or technical community participation.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts.
- Experience building or deploying a machine learning model.
- Experience with LLM APIs or AI-powered developer tools such as Copilot or Cursor.
- Hands-on CI/CD experience.
- Scripting and infrastructure automation.
- Container orchestration experience.
- Strong ownership, initiative, and willingness to learn unfamiliar systems.
- Personal projects, internships, or coursework involving cloud infrastructure.
