  • IQVIA is particularly interested in candidates who have a genuine interest in software engineering, automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
  • Python is mandatory for this internship. Candidates should be comfortable writing Python applications and should understand object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, functions, modules, exception handling, and clean code practices.
  • Knowledge of OOP is required. Candidates should understand classes, objects, inheritance, abstraction, encapsulation, polymorphism, interfaces, and composition.
  • The position requires knowledge of data structures and algorithms. Candidates should revise arrays, strings, linked lists, stacks, queues, hash tables, trees, graphs, sorting, searching, recursion, and algorithmic complexity.
  • Basic Java knowledge is considered a plus. Candidates do not need to make Java their primary language, but familiarity with Java programming concepts can be useful.
  • Strong SQL skills are required for this role. Candidates should be able to write complex queries and validate data across multiple systems.
  • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, or other relational database systems is relevant.
  • Preparation should include joins, subqueries, aggregation, grouping, filtering, window functions, indexes, constraints, and data validation.
  • The internship has a significant AI component. Candidates should have knowledge or coursework in modern Generative AI technologies and AI-agent concepts.
  • Candidates should understand the basic concepts behind LLMs, including prompts, context, model outputs, limitations, and application integration.
  • Prompt engineering involves designing instructions and context that help an LLM produce useful and reliable results for a particular task.
  • RAG combines information retrieval with an LLM so an application can retrieve relevant information from external data sources and provide that context to the model when generating a response.
  • AI agents can coordinate multiple steps, use tools, interact with external services, and execute workflows. Candidates should understand the basic architecture and limitations of agentic systems.
  • Multi-agent systems use multiple specialized agents or agent-like components to divide and coordinate complex tasks.
  • The job description mentions exposure to technologies including LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock.
  • FastAPI and backend development.
  • Microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge graphs and ontologies.
  • Machine learning fundamentals.
  • Docker and containerization.
  • Semantic search and information retrieval.
  • Data engineering concepts.
