As an Associate Software Engineer at Global Payments, you will support both on-premises and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) based applications, debug production code, and automate manual processes.
Monitor, debug, and maintain high-concurrency payment processing applications running on-premises and on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Write and execute complex SQL and PL/SQL queries to troubleshoot data anomalies, fix code defects, and perform production application support.
Develop and maintain Python and Unix Shell scripts to automate routine operations, eliminating repetitive manual tasks.
Monitor enterprise batch jobs, workflow schedules, and data processing automation using scheduling platforms (such as Control-M, Dollar Universe, or Composer).
Quickly gain domain understanding of core enterprise payment applications to resolve production incidents within defined SLAs.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, system health checks, and application enhancement cycles.

Skills & Eligibility
Minimum 16 years of formal education with a degree in B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or allied engineering disciplines.
0 to 1 year of professional experience in IT production support, application engineering, or software maintenance.
Good proficiency in Python programming.
Strong knowledge of SQL / PLSQL with the ability to write, analyze, and debug complex queries.
Basic command line and scripting experience in Unix / Linux operating environments.
Familiarity with enterprise batch scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Composer, $U, or similar platforms).
Flexibility to work in 24/7 rotational shifts in an IT production support setup.
Basic knowledge of public cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform / GCP, AWS, or Azure).
Working knowledge of Ab Initio (ABI) for issue fixing and ETL code enhancement.
Advanced Shell scripting and Python automation capabilities.
