Key Responsibilities
- Learn Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) functionality, business processes and best practices.
- Assist with requirement gathering and analysis.
- Support solution design and configuration activities.
- Participate in testing and deployment activities.
- Support production issues, incident resolution and enhancement requests.
- Prepare functional specifications and technical documentation.
- Create user guides and other project documentation.
- Collaborate with business users, technical teams and project stakeholders.
- Participate in system integration activities.
- Perform data validation and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Continue learning Oracle Cloud and Supply Chain technologies.
- Use AI tools to improve productivity in documentation, analysis, testing and solution development.
Skills & Eligibility
- OTM Techno-Functional Consultant:
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Alternatively, an MBA with a focus on Operations, Supply Chain, Systems or Business Analytics.
- 2025 or 2026 graduates or recent graduates with a good academic record.
- Strong analytical, logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn enterprise applications and supply chain business processes.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, databases or programming concepts is preferred.
- Understanding of Supply Chain, Logistics, ERP or business processes is preferred.
- Exposure to Oracle Cloud, ERP or enterprise applications is an advantage.
- Knowledge of APIs, XML, JSON or integration concepts is an advantage.
- Practical exposure to Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini or Claude is preferred.
- Basic understanding of prompt engineering is an advantage.
- One of the important responsibilities is assisting with requirement gathering.
- Requirement gathering involves understanding business problems, identifying user needs, documenting requirements and communicating them to technical teams.
- Candidates should be able to distinguish between a business requirement and a technical implementation and understand how business needs are translated into system functionality.
- Consultants are often required to document business and technical information clearly. This role includes preparing functional specifications, technical documentation and user guides.
- Strong written communication is therefore important. Candidates should be able to organize information logically and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
