Job Description
As an SDET at APEXX, you will be embedded within our engineering squads, driving a comprehensive test strategy across our suite of payment solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web, backend, and API services using modern “Shift-Left” methodologies. Your role is critical in ensuring the precision and regulatory compliance required for financial products that handle high-volume global transactions.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product and DevOps teams to integrate quality gates throughout the CI/CD pipeline . Beyond functional automation, you will lead testing initiatives across performance (using K6 or Gatling), security, and reliability. By investigating root causes and preventing regressions, you will advocate for best practices in observability and test data management, contributing to a proactive quality culture that thrives on speed and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable automation frameworks for RESTful APIs and Microservices .
Champion Shift-Left testing by collaborating with developers during the design phase.
Drive performance and reliability testing using tools like K6 or Gatling .
Investigate complex test failures and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent regressions.
Define and enforce quality gates within GitHub Actions or AWS CI/CD pipelines.
Advocate for regulatory compliance and security best practices within the payments domain.
Maintain test data management strategies and system observability.
Participate in high-impact fintech projects within a fast-paced startup ecosystem.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.
Automation: Expert knowledge of tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright .
Programming: Strong coding skills in Python or Java .
API Testing: Hands-on experience with Postman and testing event-driven architectures.
Methodology: Deep understanding of modern QA best practices and continuous testing.
Infrastructure: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions).
Soft Skills: Strong analytical debugging skills and a high-trust, collaborative mindset.
Environment: Comfortable working in a high-performing, dynamic startup atmosphere.
