Job Description

For the HPE Recruitment 2026 drive, the software engineering division is looking for an entry-level Systems/Software Engineer to code, enhance, and update portions of critical systems software. This includes working on operating systems, compilers, networking utilities, and databases.
As part of this role, you will execute established test plans, debug issues, and collaborate closely with internal teams and outsourced development partners. Note: This role is designed as ‘Hybrid’ with the expectation that you will work, on average, 2 days per week from the HPE office in Bangalore.

As a Systems/Software Engineer I at HPE, your key responsibilities will include:
Software Development: Code and program enhancements, updates, and changes for subsystems of systems software (operating systems, compilers, networking, databases, and internet-related tools).
Testing & Debugging: Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned code portions; effectively identify, log, and debug issues.
Collaboration: Develop a strong understanding of—and relationships with—internal and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design.
Project Execution: Participate as an active member of the project team to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for low to moderately complex products.

To be eligible for the HPE Recruitment 2026, candidates must strictly meet the following criteria:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical field.
Experience Level: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. Freshers are highly encouraged to apply.
Required Core Competencies:Strong experience or theoretical understanding of software systems design tools and languages.Solid understanding of designing software systems running on multiple platform types.Basic understanding of testing, coding, and debugging procedures.Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (mastery in English and local language).
