Job Description
As an Associate Test Automation Engineer at Veeva Systems, you will be a vital member of the release engineering organization, working on the signature Veeva Vault platform and applications. You will be responsible for expanding our global quality matrix by developing, maintaining, and scaling comprehensive test suites. This role is highly technical and hands-on, utilizing behavioral-driven development (BDD) frameworks to construct end-to-end regression scripts across multiple cloud environments.
Your daily duties include performing automation feasibility analysis of assigned technical test cases and implementing robust API and UI automation architectures. You will integrate testing validation loops within modern CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, and JIRA , executing testing frameworks over cloud instances such as AWS (EC2, S3, Workspaces) . Operating with a high level of autonomy, you will conduct visual regression validations and sync progress systematically with onshore managers and engineering team leads.
Key Responsibilities
Learn, deep-dive, and master the features of the cloud-native Veeva Vault platform layers.
Perform automation feasibility assessments on manual test scripts to isolate candidate cases.
Design, code, and maintain robust API and UI automation test scripts from scratch.
Build and scale BDD automation structures using tools like Cucumber .
Orchestrate continuous integration builds and track execution logs via Jenkins and Git .
Utilize cloud storage and virtual execution nodes across AWS EC2, S3, and Workspaces .
Conduct Visual Regression testing to safeguard frontend interface consistency.
Communicate project status, blocker metrics, and platform defects smoothly to onshore leaders.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative IT stream.
Automation: Strong foundational logic in UI automation testing or backend API validation frameworks.
BDD Tools: Conceptual familiarity or hands-on exposure to Cucumber or Gherkin scripting syntax.
Cloud Concepts: Fundamental awareness of cloud computing infrastructure, particularly AWS (EC2, S3) .
DevOps Matrix: Basic understanding of source control (Git) and continuous automation pipelines (Jenkins).
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities with a deep attention to quality parameters and data detail.
Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication to work comfortably with global cross-functional peers.
