Job Description

  • As a Device Associate I, your primary responsibility is the execution of test cases for various software builds and device releases. You will follow detailed testing procedures and guidelines to qualify builds without compromising on quality. This role involves heavy Regression Testing —performing repetitive testing exercises to ensure that new code changes haven’t negatively impacted existing features.
  • You will use specialized software tools for daily data capture and bug reporting. When a test failure occurs, you are responsible for communicating the failure clearly, escalating critical issues, and providing status reports. You will work within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements) , raising clarifications in the testing portal and following through until closure. This role is essential for qualifying hardware and software that define the future of smart devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute pre-defined test cases for software builds on various Amazon devices.
  • Identify, record, and track bugs accurately using internal software tools.
  • Perform regression testing to qualify new releases and updates.
  • Capture testing results and provide individual status reports to leadership.
  • Escalate critical failures and process blockers to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Raise and manage clarifications in the testing portal according to strict SLAs.
  • Ensure that testing guidelines are strictly followed to maintain high quality standards.
  • Maintain clear and concise written communication regarding test failures and status.

Skills & Eligibility

  • Education: Any Degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Testing Knowledge: Basic understanding of QA methodology and testing tools.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for bug reporting.
  • Analytical: High attention to detail and ability to identify patterns in software failures.
  • Technical: Comfortable using software-based tools for data capture and daily workflows.
  • Mindset: Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and maintain a high level of quality.
