Job Description
As an Associate Quality Engineer at Altera, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of web and desktop healthcare applications. Your primary focus will be comprehensive manual testing and WebAPI validation , ensuring that endpoints and request/response structures maintain data integrity. You will work within an Agile DevOps framework, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Your daily tasks will include documenting and tracking defects, collaborating with developers for timely resolutions, and conducting thorough regression testing . You will use tools like Postman or Swagger for API checks and Jira or Azure DevOps for test management. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented individual eager to learn new testing techniques and adapt to the evolving landscape of healthcare technology.
Key Responsibilities
Execute manual test cases for desktop and web apps to identify defects.
Validate WebAPI endpoints and request/response structures for data integrity.
Collaborate with product teams to define test strategies and requirements.
Document, track, and prioritize defects through the entire defect lifecycle .
Participate in Agile/DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline awareness.
Conduct regression testing to ensure existing features remain stable.
Improve testing methodologies and tools within an agile framework.
Learn and adapt to the specific technical suite of Altera’s health IT products.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a technical field preferred.
Experience: 0–2 years in Software QA, manual, or API testing.
Manual Testing: Strong understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
API Testing: Hands-on knowledge of tools like Postman, SoapUI, or Swagger .
Frameworks: Familiarity with SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
DevOps: Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines .
SQL: Basic knowledge of database concepts and SQL (Good to have).
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
