Job Description

As a Junior .NET Developer at Unisys, you will be an integral member of the core engineering team, involved in developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise web applications. Your primary technical focus will span across the Microsoft application ecosystem, utilizing C#, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET Core to implement robust business logic layers. You will build and consume scalable RESTful Web APIs and utilize modern MVC architecture patterns to build clear separations of design concerns.
Database management is central to this assignment—you will configure schemas, write optimized queries, and assemble stored procedures using MS SQL Server , managing data mappings via Entity Framework or ADO.NET layers. You will collaborate across the development lifecycle with backend architects, UI designers, and QA testing engineers to track code compliance, execute Unit Testing runs, and isolate defects using modern debugging tools. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, coordinate version branches using Git , and support deployment setups.

Develop, enhance, and sustain responsive enterprise web applications using C# and ASP.NET Core .
Design, implement, and consume high-throughput RESTful Web APIs for cross-platform integration.
Manage relational schemas, map complex queries, and code stored procedures in SQL Server .
Utilize Entity Framework or native ADO.NET data structures for secure, low-latency database access.
Participate systematically in peer code reviews to enforce corporate programming guidelines and OOP best practices.
Isolate software bugs, execute structured unit tests, and resolve application defects promptly.
Collaborate closely with UI/UX engineers, QA testers, and product managers within an Agile sprint matrix.
Support technical release deployment workflows and handle post-production maintenance tickets when required.

Education: BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical field.
Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional engineering exposure in .NET application lifecycles.
Backend Power: Strong foundational logic in C#, ASP.NET , and MVC software design architectures.
Database Layer: Clear understanding of relational data models and SQL query optimizations.
Web Basics: Working familiarity with client-side fundamentals including HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
Tools: Comfortable managing source code version histories and branches via Git .
Bonus Assets: Exposure to modern JavaScript libraries (Angular/React), basic Azure cloud concepts, and Agile/Scrum.
Soft Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical reasoning and a proactive learning habit.
