Job Description

As a Java Backend Engineer at Tarento, you will be part of a team dedicated to designing and developing robust server-side applications. Under the mentorship of senior developers, you will write clean, efficient, and well-documented Java code. Your role involves building and consuming RESTful APIs that power enterprise-level platforms. You will also work closely with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval processes.
You will play a vital role in the entire development lifecycle, from participating in code reviews to debugging and troubleshooting application issues. Collaborating with cross-functional teams like QA and DevOps, you will assist in unit testing and ensure that all code meets Tarento’s high-quality standards. This role is an excellent launchpad for those eager to master microservices architecture and modern backend frameworks in a professional consulting environment.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.
Java: Strong foundational knowledge of Core Java and OOPs concepts.
Foundations: Understanding of basic data structures and algorithms.
Databases: Familiarity with SQL and relational database management.
Web Services: Basic understanding of REST APIs and web architecture.
Tools: Knowledge of version control systems like Git .
Projects: Prior internship or academic project experience in Java development.
Nice to Have: Exposure to Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle , or JavaScript.
