As a Software Engineer at Sutherland, you will work across an assigned technological vector to create, maintain, support, and implement high-impact software projects. You will act as a core Java Full Stack Developer or Test Automation Engineer depending on your direct team alignment. You will collaborate directly with product owners and business stakeholders to translate technical requirements and business vision into an executable timeline, ensuring that software configurations remain highly scalable and efficient.
A significant portion of your day-to-day work involves identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation to drive efficiency across distributed engineering teams. You will transfer complex domain knowledge to subject matter experts, generate timely project health reports for management, and manage service quality to guarantee client satisfaction. From executing regression test suites to debugging enterprise backend frameworks under minimal supervision, you will define Sutherland’s reputation for technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Resolve complex software engineering challenges in application development, testing, or maintenance tracks.
Translate product owner requirements and functional visions into executable project timelines.
Develop and enhance backend and frontend web application layers using Java Full Stack technologies .
Identify process bottlenecks and provide actionable inputs to Leads for framework automation.
Create, validate, and maintain high-quality project documentation and clear execution results.
Act as a key technical reference point to transfer specialized domain knowledge across the team.
Establish and maintain clear communication channels with clients, leaders, and global cross-functional peers.
Provide coaching and structural feedback to maintain high customer service quality standards.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in CSE/IT, B.Sc. (Computers), BCA, MCA, or an equivalent technical degree.
Core Technology: Strong foundational exposure to Java Full Stack architectures or QA automated testing paradigms.
Domain Knowledge: Preliminary exposure to or understanding of the Healthcare IT or IT Services Delivery landscape.
Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking abilities with a strategic approach to streamlining operational workflows.
