As a Software Quality Engineering Intern at Red Hat, you will work closely with a senior mentor to gain real-world technical experience in testing enterprise software, developing automated test scripts, debugging issues, and contributing to open-source product release cycles.
Conduct new feature research and design manual and automated test cases.
Execute test suites and deliver clear testing status updates to engineering leads in a timely manner.
Explore, identify, document, and track software bugs while communicating their customer impact to developers and support teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality Engineering (QE), Product Management, and Documentation teams, as well as the open-source community.
Develop test scripts using Python, Golang, or shell scripting in Linux environments.
Network with other talented interns and actively participate in team meetings and cohort workshops.

Skills & Eligibility
Currently pursuing the final year of a Bachelor’s degree (B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent quantitative discipline.
Must have valid authorization to work in India without requiring visa sponsorship.
Testing Fundamentals: Basic knowledge of and passion for software testing methodologies, test design, and quality assurance principles.
Programming Knowledge: Basic familiarity and willingness to use Python, Golang, or similar programming languages.
Communication: Working knowledge of written and spoken English.
Soft Skills: Strong curiosity, problem-solving mindset, desire to understand internal system mechanics, and ability to work proactively in global, cross-functional teams.
