As a Consultant Software Engineer inside Principal’s cloud engineering wing, you will carry out the following critical mandates:
Design, develop, and deliver highly secure, production-grade cloud-native solutions using modern cloud computing methodologies.
Automate enterprise cloud setups and administrative tasks comprehensively using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) architectures.
Write clean, efficient, highly maintainable, and thoroughly reviewed code for task modules tied to platform engineering.
Build, deploy, and configure continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines via GitHub Workflows and GitHub Actions.
Utilize a deep knowledge of AWS Landing Zone to engineer a secure, multi-account corporate cloud environment.
Configure, monitor, and regulate Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) layers ensuring deep structural compliance with security policies.
Build reusable, modular platform components, standardized APIs, and developer toolkits to scale self-service infrastructure automation.
Define, implement, and maintain secure guardrails, architecture baselines, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and compliance parameters natively inside AWS.
Align with internal delivery managers for structural project reviews, risk monitoring, mitigation strategies, and continuous engineering iterations.
Skills & Eligibility
Language Expertise: Superior proficiency in programming languages such as Python (highly preferred) or TypeScript for clean cloud application development and automation scripts.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Extensive expertise with advanced orchestration tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK for configuring and managing infrastructure automatically.
AWS Architecture Knowledge: Thorough understanding of engineering secure, highly scalable, reliable, and cost-optimized cloud architectures within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Multi-Account Management: Strong functional familiarity with establishing multi-account foundational architectures using AWS Landing Zone and AWS Organizations .
Debugging & Analysis: Top-tier analytical, benchmarking, and cross-system troubleshooting skills to resolve challenging enterprise framework problems.
Continuous Adaptability: Proven ability to research, learn, and rapidly deploy emerging AWS cloud utilities and cloud-native technical innovations.
Sound technical estimation skills coupled with excellent professional communication and timeline management capabilities.
Deep technical understanding of system workflow dependencies, application routing systems, and secure cloud API integrations.
High-level operational awareness of the core business processes powered and sustained by underlying software frameworks.
