Job Description

  • As a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Lennox, you will be deeply involved in product design, cost reduction, and project management. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to bring innovative, sustainable products to the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Value Addition & Cost Reduction: Identify, analyze, and implement cost reduction ideas, ensuring they deliver measurable benefits.
  • Project Management: Create and manage detailed project plans, ensuring seamless coordination of multiple projects.
  • Business Case Development: Analyze ideas and prepare compelling business cases for cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing).
  • Design Development: Develop concept designs related to sheet metal and plastics using advanced methodologies.
  • Design & Idea Analysis: Perform analysis using NUDs, DFMEA, Risk Analysis, and RCA. Create design verification and test plans.
  • Design Reviews & Approvals: Lead and coordinate design reviews to secure cross-functional approvals.
  • Simulation & Testing: Oversee simulations and physical tests to validate concepts and ensure standards are met.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Work with the sourcing team on sample development, prototyping, tooling, and timelines.
  • Implementation Support & Benchmarking: Coordinate ECNs, collaborate with manufacturing, and support VAVE team activities like product teardowns.

Skills & Eligibility

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
  • Familiarity with analytical and CAD software.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing technical blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Strong project management capabilities and cost analysis proficiency.
  • Expertise in sheet metal and plastic design methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, BOM, and ECN processes.
  • Proficient in DFMEA, functional analysis, component testing, and qualification methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
