As an Associate Software Engineer, you will support the Lead Innovation Engineer in building, maintaining, and evolving Forbes Advisor’s internal platform of LLM-powered tools used daily by SEO, Content, SEM, and Editorial teams. This is a hands-on full-stack role covering Next.js frontends, FastAPI backends, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
Full-Stack Development & Maintenance: Build and maintain web features using Next.js frontends and FastAPI backends. Support bug fixes, small enhancements, data validation, and tool monitoring. Write clean, testable Python and TypeScript code.
Data Pipelines & Automation: Build and maintain data pipelines connecting third-party APIs (such as SEMrush and ScrapingBee) to LLM workflows. Manage scheduled jobs using AWS ECS Scheduled Tasks, EventBridge, and Redis job queues.
AI / LLM Integration: Integrate OpenAI and Anthropic APIs into internal productivity applications. Support prompt iteration, testing, and AI evaluation (“evals”) frameworks.
Cloud & Infrastructure (AWS): Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud services across AWS ECS, ALB, S3, RDS, and EventBridge.
AI-Assisted Workflow: Leverage AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) in daily software engineering workflows.

Skills & Eligibility
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc / BCA).
Experience: 1.5+ years of professional software development experience.
Solid foundation in Python; exposure to web frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript with hands-on experience in React or Next.js.
Understanding of SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS).
Knowledge of REST APIs and asynchronous programming principles.
Comfortable utilizing AI coding assistants (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude).
Working knowledge of Git/GitHub (branching, pull requests, code reviews) and CI/CD pipelines.
Prior experience with OpenAI or Anthropic API integrations.
Basic familiarity with AWS services or public cloud platforms.
Exposure to Redis, background job queues (Celery, RQ), AI agents, or web scraping data pipelines.
