Job Description

As an Associate Software Engineer at Eurofins, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous reliability and evolution of our product applications. You will serve as a Level 3 escalation point for complex production issues, directly assisting L1 and L2 teams to manage incidents under strict SLA guidelines. This highly visible role blends sustaining engineering with core backend operations, requiring you to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and deploy permanent fixes into our production environments.
On the development side, you will be responsible for maintaining legacy VB6 applications while actively contributing to modern web architectures utilizing .NET Core (6/7/8), C#, and Web APIs . Database health is a priority—you will optimize stored procedures and queries on MS SQL Server , and troubleshoot enterprise reporting tools like Crystal Reports and SSRS . Collaborating in a Scrum framework, you will participate in peer code reviews, draft technical SOPs, and maintain a high standard for our Definition of Done (DoD).

Act as the L3 technical escalation point to diagnose and resolve production incidents.
Maintain, debug, and optimize legacy enterprise applications written in VB6 .
Develop minor features and bug fixes for web apps using .NET Core and C# .
Write and fine-tune complex queries, stored procedures, and views on MS SQL Server .
Troubleshoot and fix report failures in SSRS and Crystal Reports .
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and minimize business impact for critical issues.
Manage deployments, tracking, and task assignments through Azure DevOps .
Create comprehensive technical documentation, SOPs, and Knowledge Base articles.
Provide mentoring and structured technical guidance to L1/L2 engineering staff.

Education: MCA, B.E., B.Tech, or Bachelor’s in Computer Science / IT.
Legacy Stack (Mandatory): Expert-level hands-on experience in VB6 development.
Modern Stack: Good understanding of .NET Core, C#, MVC, and Web APIs .
Database & Reporting: Proficiency in MS SQL Server along with SSRS or Crystal Reports.
Operations: Prior exposure to Incident Management, RCA practices, and SLA workflows.
DevOps/Agile: Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Communication: Outstanding English written and verbal skills for global stakeholder mapping.
Mindset: Problem-solving attitude, high attention to detail, and operational agility.
