Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will contribute to backend development and API engineering activities as part of a software development team.
Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop services using a Microservices architecture.
Implement Hibernate ORM for database integration.
Optimize database queries and application data access.
Collaborate with frontend teams working with Angular or React applications.
Perform unit testing and debugging of backend services.
Support performance tuning of API and backend applications.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
Contribute to timely delivery of software features.
Support CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing and deployments.

Candidates should have a B.E/B.Tech degree to be eligible for the CGI API Developer position.

Testing: Understanding of unit testing and debugging.
CI/CD: Basic understanding of automated build, testing and deployment pipelines.
Agile: Familiarity with sprint planning and Agile development practices.
Important skills include Java, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Microservices and RESTful APIs. Knowledge of testing, debugging, Agile and CI/CD is also relevant.
