Key Responsibilities

  • As an Associate Software Engineer at CDK Global, you will work within software engineering teams to solve problems of moderate scope, build professional domain expertise, and contribute to production application development and platform reliability.
  • Apply working technical knowledge within your specialty area to solve engineering problems of moderate scope.
  • Build professional domain expertise including knowledge of processes, customers, and core CDK systems.
  • Analyze technical solutions using domain expertise and independent judgment within defined standard practices.
  • Plan personal work priorities on a regular basis aligned with assigned project objectives.
  • Document, track, and monitor software issues and defects to achieve timely resolution.
  • Share technical skills and collaborate with cross-functional team members.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response activities to support production platform reliability as needed.
  • Comply with all CDK Global policies, security guidelines, and mandatory compliance standards.

Skills & Eligibility

  • Degree Route: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field with 0 to 2 years of experience.
  • Non-Degree Route: Minimum 8 to 10 years of direct technical software experience in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Deep knowledge of at least one core programming language (such as Java, C++, C#, or Python).
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a collaborative and self-motivated work ethic.
  • Ability to document, track, and troubleshoot software defects to resolution.
  • Capability to work effectively both independently and within agile team structures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and common developer collaboration tools.
