As a Financial Analyst at American Express, you will be deeply involved in general ledger operations, financial reporting, and compliance. Your daily responsibilities will include:
Financial Validations: Monitoring month-end P&L treatments and validations, ensuring accurate and timely completion and General Ledger (GL) posting.
Ledger Review: Conducting monthly reviews of ABP ledgers to ensure completeness, accuracy, and detailed operational aging analysis.
Governance & Maintenance: Governing the ABP Ledger, which includes global master file maintenance, updating rules/products/ownership, and uploading data into an automated Tableau database.
System Setup: Executing monthly Trial Balance (TB) and GL reviews, setting up new accounts, treatment rules, and matching rules in IRIS MU.
Cross-Team Liaison: Liaising actively with upstream operations teams to collate relevant data required for escheatment filings and executing final due diligence for applicable markets.
Escheatment Reporting: Assisting in the preparation, filing, and related accounting of escheatment reports, along with related sub-ledger support preparation, uploads, and reconciliations in IRIS MU.
Skills & Eligibility
Qualifications: Must have a B.Com degree or hold a specialization in the Commerce stream.
Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. Freshers with strong foundational knowledge are welcome to apply.
Technical Skills: Strong system skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities paired with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Teamwork: Effective interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully and build positive working relationships in a fast-paced team environment.
Candidates must possess a B.Com degree or have a specialized educational background in the Commerce stream.
