Job Description

As a Software Engineer at Akamai under the Akamai Recruitment 2026 drive, you will be a key contributor to the IT DevOps Engineering team. Your mission is to develop applications that streamline internal processes and improve efficiency through high-level automation. You will focus on writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code while adhering to the industry’s best coding standards.
You will collaborate with cross-functional business units to design, deploy, and maintain applications that serve diverse stakeholders. This role demands a high level of flexibility, as you will be expected to multitask and troubleshoot urgent application-related issues while learning new technologies on the go to stay ahead in the evolving tech landscape.

Design, develop, and deploy robust applications to support various business stakeholders.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex application-related issues and bugs.
Collaborate with system operators to analyze and implement new technical requirements.
Ensure all code is written to be scalable, maintainable, and free of defects.
Maintain a high standard of coding practices and documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
Perform multitasking to handle multiple urgent situations and project deadlines simultaneously.
Partner with DevOps teams to bring efficiency through innovative automation tools.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience (Freshers are highly encouraged to apply).
Core Skills: Exceptional Object-Oriented (OO) programming skills and strong competency in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA).
Languages: Familiarity with at least one OO language such as Java, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.
Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of software design principles and database management.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective team collaboration.
