Job Description

As a Graduate Trainee Engineer at Siemens under the Siemens Off Campus Drive 2026 , you will join the Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) team. This role is designed for motivated individuals who want to specialize in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and document automation. You will be responsible for configuring workflows that extract, classify, and validate data from diverse document types, helping reduce manual intervention through smart automation.
You will leverage your programming skills in Python and JavaScript to script customization and automation logic. Working closely with tools like Otera AI and ABBYY FlexiCapture, you will ensure high accuracy in data extraction while troubleshooting and debugging IDP solutions. This is an excellent role for those interested in the intersection of AI, ML, and business process automation.

Assist in designing and developing document processing workflows using advanced OCR technologies.
Configure document classification and data extraction using tools like ABBYY FlexiCapture and Otera AI.
Develop and maintain automation logic using Python and JavaScript .
Validate extracted data to ensure compliance with high-quality and accuracy standards.
Perform exception handling and data review for processed documents to fix extraction errors.
Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize IDP solutions and reduce manual efforts.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for workflows, system configurations, and automated processes.
Support the testing and debugging phases of document automation solutions.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Experience: 0–2 years (Freshers with an interest in automation are highly encouraged).
Programming: Mandatory proficiency in Python and JavaScript .
Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of OCR, document processing, and data extraction.
Tools: Familiarity with ABBYY FlexiCapture, Otera AI, or RPA platforms is a strong plus.
Data Handling: Basic knowledge of Excel and structured/unstructured data management.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication.
